During her 1L year, A. Basse completed coursework in Basic Civil Procedure, Common Law Contracts, Criminal Law, Torts, Legal Traditions & Systems, Legal Research & Writing, Constitutional Law, Civil Law Property, Criminal Procedure, and Obligations. For her performance in the second semester, A. Basse was selected as a Spring 2025 Dean’s scholar. She is currently enrolled in Evidence during the summer session.
In the upcoming Fall 2025 semester, she will be taking Administrative Law, Introduction to Intellectual Property, Family Law, Common Law Property, and Sales, Lease, & Advanced Obligations.
Oral Arguments
During the spring semester, the Legal Research & Writing classes complete mock oral arguments on their appellate briefs. The oral arguments give the students the opportunity to present legal arguments and practice legal advocacy skills.
Intellectual Property Academy
A. Basse attended the AbbVie Legal IP Academy at Southern University in Spring 2025. This educational workshop included hands-on patent drafting, litigation, and prosecution workshops.
